Daire SanatMoving In - New Neighbours // 26 May-31 June 2009 Within the intercultural exchange project “Kom?ular-Aras? 01” artists from Berlin will explore Cihangirs neighbourhood in various artistic languages using performance, music, literature, painting, photography and film, participatory projects and workshops. Daire Sanat is presenting in this context artworks from Eva Bertram (photography), Patrick Jambon (interactive performance), Barbara Klinker (concept /books), Lila Karbowska (objects), Peter Ojstersek (?nstallation), Fabian Schubert (video) and Karen Stuke (camera obscura). The Berlin artist present individual positions referring to questions about public space, privacy, individuality, community, communication, misunderstanding, influences of global images to local communities etc. The exhibition is curated by Jaana Prüss in collaboration with Istanbul based Cagla Ormanlar Ok. |
